Life can be busy and unpredictable right? Sometimes we are caught in a bind and need something quick and easy to snack on between meals (or sometimes in place of a meal, unfortunately) that doesn't require much prep, doesn't need to be kept in the fridge and doesn't need to be heated. When you work in Law Enforcement, especially - most of your meals and snacks are eaten at a desk or in your unit between calls. Here is a list of super simple healthy snacks to keep with you in your lunch box, at your desk and in your go-bag that will not spoil. I recommend stocking up in advance - you never know when things will get busy or you get held over.
*There are always lower carb versions of many of these snacks f you are on a low carb diet.
*Also try to select brands that are higher in fiber and lower in sugar.
You have enough to worry about when you are at work - eating shouldn't be one of them. Fail to plan, plan to fail; FIT FOR DUTY - FIT FOR LIFE!
